Minkoff How MAP Solved a Problem and Saved a Life After meeting with you at the Ironman contest I felt that it was important that I relay some information  regarding my grandson and his issue with Protein Losing Enteropathy (PLE), In his case this was associated with his congenital heart condition. He was born with no right ventricle.  After many surgeries he developed PLE   The physicians do not know why but this occurs with a lot of young patients that have had a surgery known as a Fontan Procedure.  His Albumin levels got down to as low as 1.4 and the normal range for a low albumin level is 3.2. Here's why: FLU shots are make up of strains of flu that the CDC thinks will be around each year. It's a guess. Usually they guess wrong. In 2004 the National Vaccine Information Center reported that the vaccine given that year did not contain the flu strain that caused the majority of flu outbreaks that year. In the medical journal Lancet, a study published in August showed no correlation between the flu shot and reducing pneumonia.
