If your bed is toxic, do you want to be sleeping in it?
Recently a reader sent in this question:
I have received your newsletters for years and I remember your telling about what materials would be good for our beds. I remember your telling about latex and I thought you related that it being from a natural material, it would be a good bed. We bought a type of air bed like a Sleep Number and one of the layers of cushioning near the top is latex. I can smell the odor from it many times and I wonder is this toxic? Also, would one of those coverings to prevent dust mites solve this problem?
