Greetings,
This week: Could your prescription meds be making you fat? Can flame retardants be causing us to be ill? Tax wisdom? Does your sweat smell like ammonia? Are long lasting light bulbs that bad?
Have a great week.

Save Yourself Loads of Health Grief
For the last three years I have written that one of the hallmarks of healthy living is to make sure that your vitamin D level is in high normal range. Daily sunshine can do it for many, but if you live where there is not adequate sunshine, then supplementation with Vitamin D 3 is essential. For many, 1000-2000 units per day will do the trick. This should be verified by blood test. The amounts in the usual multivitamin and foods rarely keep ones level where it should be. .

Why Take a Multivitamin with Detoxification Support?
Here are nine good reasons:
1. The food we eat is for the most part "mass manufactured" and compared to 50 or 100 years ago, depleted in essential minerals, vitamins and may have genetically modified aspects which are very foreign to our bodies.
2. Many people eat non-foods like MSG, saccharine, nutrisweet, splenda, artificial colorants and flavors, that put stress on our systems.
3. Almost all foods have pesticides, chemicals (PCB's, Dioxins), Fluorides, that come into our bodies each day.

Just a Typical Day on Planet Earth
Jump up, get out of bed (full of flame retardants and other chemicals), get a drink of chlorinated water, brush you teeth with toothpaste full of artificial sweeteners, fluoride, Put on chemical deodorant, hair products, shave cream, makeup, eat heavily sprayed non organic coffee, white flour, sugar as cereal or bread or cake, need I go on? And its only 8 o'clock in the morning.
Much of disease is caused by this daily continuing accumulation of toxins in the body coupled with nutrient poor food.

Decay in our Society
I recently saw this ad and was shocked by it. What do you think? Could the decay in our society in regard to personal responsibility, declining morals, insanity and criminality be related to these menaces being allowed to harm our children, elderly, and women?

Some Fun
An Old Italian man lived alone in the country. He wanted to dig his tomato garden, but it was very hard work as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man emailed a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Vincent,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me.
