Should you check your environment for toxic lead?
But how is one to know if there are sources of lead in one's environment? I recently ran across some test kits that can, with a simple swab (at a cost of a little over $2) detect lead at a low level from the surface of an object or from a liquid (like a hair dye product). As you are probably aware, lead is one of the most potent toxins, even at very low dosages, that are known to man. There is no safe level.
