Dr. Silver graduated from Temple University's School of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He also completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey. Prior to coming to LifeWorks, Dr. Silver served as the Medical Director of Chart Medical Wellness Center, and also as the Director of Anti-Aging Medicine at the Institute of Anti-Aging and Advanced Medicine in Adventura, Florida. Overall he has 27 years of experience in alternative and conventional medicine. Personal Success In 2001, Dr. Silver discovered that he had lymphoma -- cancerous lymph nodes in his chest and neck. During his quest for knowledge and answers, he discovered a correlation with abscessed teeth and root canals, toxicities from heavy metals (mercury, lead, cadmium), pesticide toxicities, metabolic imbalances, and low immunity. While Dr. Silver brings a full range of conventional and complementary medical care to his patients, he knows the power that alternative treatments can have. Today Dr. Silver is cancer free without any chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or other traditional cancer treatments. His wife, diagnosed with early breast cancer, is also cancer free through treatments with alternative medicine alone. Philosophy Dr. Silver's philosophy is that environmental stresses and toxins eventually overburden the body's detoxification capabilities. These toxins, combined with one's own genetic profile, cause disease. However, changes in enzymes, vitamins, and hormones can alter the body's genetic expressions to ultimately lessen an individual's risk for disease. By exploring one's unique set of genes, metabolism, toxins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and immunity, Dr. Silver formulates specific healing programs for individuals. Because of the unique differences from person to person, each individual receives a custom tailored program to meet his or her body's composition.
