Lawsuits Against The City 
More than 1,700 New York police and firefighters have filed lawsuits against the city, claiming illnesses resulting from the rescue and clean up effort after the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center. On that day, 91,000 liters of jet fuel flew into the World Trade Center. This produced a fire that burned at 1800 degrees Fahrenheit for over 100 days. This efficiently aerosolized some of the world's most deadly toxins over the whole northeastern corridor of the U.S. Not only that but 5000 tons of asbestos containing fireproofing was aerosolized into the clouds that blanketed the area, and then particles were carried by air currents into clouds to rain down thousands of miles away. Asbestos is a potent carcinogen causing lung tumors and lymphomas. Then more material that was not vaporized in the explosion and burning was taken by open air trucks along with tons and tons of PCBs and bounced through town. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Lead, with its many uses banned in the 70's, is the main component of solder used in circuit boards and computer monitors. Each computer contains as much as four pounds of lead. There were tens of thousands of computers in the offices of the WTC. Then there is the lead used in the electrical connections in the building and the lead based paint to rustproof the steel beams of the building that was the norm for that era of building. LEAD IS A POTENT NEUROTOXIN AND DAMAGES INTELLIGENCE, MEMORY, MOOD, and other organs including kidneys and bone marrow. This has the potential to brain damage every infant in the area for miles. If that were not enough, PCB's which are one of the most potent man-made carcinogens, were released from electrical equipment, lubricants, coolants, capacitors and transformers. These PCBs will get into ground water, plants, and animal foods and contaminate our whole food supply for years to come. Add to this, all the electrical cables, insulating materials, plastics, furnishings, and carpets, contain polyvinyl chloride and phthalates that also persist and bio-accumulate. They are hormone disruptors and carcinogens. They also block immune function. The rest of the toxic iceberg is made up of mercury, benzene, cadmium, chromium, copper, diesel fumes, pesticides all of which were and are released into the environment. These toxins cause disease and can mimic every chronic illness which is plaguing western society. Have you taken measures to ensure that your toxic load is reduced?
