Germs germs everywhere. Should you be paranoid?
Though I became a specialist in Infectious Diseases, I was never quite the believer that usual germs were agents everywhere lingering to infect you and make you sick. Studies are plentiful that the most important factor in not getting sick is the health of the person who is exposed.
Basic health is related to nutrition, sleep and a persons ability to manage their daily personal and professional lives.
A recent study looked to find out what were the most germ infested public places. Here's the list:
- Playgrounds
- Bus rails/armrests
- Public bathrooms
- Shopping cart handles
- Escalator handrails
- Chair armrests
- Vending machine buttons
- Shared pens
- Public telephones
- Elevator buttons
Good rules of thumb:
- Wash your hands often, especially before eating.
- Don't put your hands on your face, in your nose, or in your mouth. Most of the transmission is from the object, to your hands, and then to your mouth, nose or eyes and then with entrance to the body - it can go deeper and cause an illness.
- Protect your immune system with eating organic, taking BioBuilde to ensure you have enough protein, taking a multi vitamin with detox and antioxidant support like BodyHealth Complete + Detox, get enough sleep, daily exercise, and get some daily sunshine. (Get a Vitamin D blood level!)
