Medical Experts Now Actually Funded by Drug Companies
Beware and be aware of where you get your information about health. The amount of false information is rampant. Paid interests will take liberty with the truth to push their products. If those products were mostly harmless nutritional supplements, where almost no one can be injured, I wouldn't even mention it. But such is not the case. What we have is dangerous pharmaceuticals, which do cause injury to millions, being promoted and glamorized in the name of health.
Pharmaceutical companies have completely altered the paradigm of what is health and how to become healthy. The brainwashing message has become: "I have a pain. Take a drug. I don't feel well. Take a drug. I have an abnormal lab test. Take a drug. I can't study. Take a drug. I can't sleep. Take a drug. I can't stay awake. Take a drug."
This is the message from every major medical journal, from big media "health news," and even from public health government policy.
How did it happen? Here's an example: Eight of the nine experts on a panel advising the government on cholesterol guidelines for the public earned money from drug companies for the recommendations they made. Forming a panel of medical experts with no ties to drug companies, some say, is nearly impossible.
Drug companies spent $2 billion in 2001 on events for doctors -- double the amount spent in 1996. When a medical expert advises the government, we expect his or her recommendations aren't influenced by bribes from drug companies. Unfortunately the pattern of corruption among medical experts funded by pharmaceutical companies has now tainted credibility to the point of public distrust.
Bottom line: Health is a function of living in a way that is in harmony with life and nature.
Except in some rare emergencies, drugs have no part in that truth. Since most physicians have been educated counter to this principle, they will have difficulty truly helping you. Your own knowledge and understanding of this principle will be your only help.
My wife recently had a discussion with a friend who has high blood pressure, 170/119. And his cholesterol was way too high also. He weighs 180 pounds. He said, "I know that at 160 pounds my cholesterol and blood pressure are normal. What am I going to do? Take the drugs or get my ideal body weight back?"
Could anyone think this should be up for debate?
This can only happen if the person had so much false information that he thinks that the two solutions are of equal good. The successful marketing of drugs has accomplished this so totally, that instead of choosing healthy lifestyle changes, the American public will spend $200 billion a year on drugs and become sicker and sicker in the process.
And not realize why!
Totally amazing!
Fortunately, he decided to lose the 20 pounds using a healthy diet of organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains, organic meats, while knocking off the sugar, caffeine, Nutrisweet, Splenda, white flour, or fried foods. He is on a vitamin and mineral supplement program, exercising daily for an hour, and getting chelation and magnesium IV's three times a week.
