Improve Immune Function by Eating Less
"Dietary restriction is beneficial in preventing a multitude of diseases, many of which may involve the immune system in their etiology. " - The Journal of Nutrition
In this study, restricting dietary food intake (in other words, eating less) both decreased autoimmune disease and improved antioxidant function. Eating less also prevented DNA mutations.
How can one learn to eat less?
- Begin by knowing that you can eat multiple small meals a day, so that you will not feel deprived.
- Eat until you feel your hunger is satisfied - not to fullness.
- Eat organic foods and pure water.
- Eat fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy oils, and protein with each meal. Avoid sugars and artificial foods.
Your leanness will follow and so will your improved immune function. May you live to be a healthy 102 years old and die peacefully in your sleep.
