What Is A CDSA? Why Would My Doctor Want Me To Have One?

CDSA stands for Complete Stool and Digestive Analysis. Here's why your doctor would want you to have one.

Do you have bacteria in your colon that produce an enzyme that could cause you to get breast cancer?

Do you have a “leaky gut” that is the reason for your allergies, brain fog, arthritis, fibromyalgia, or lupus?

Do you have an overgrowth of yeast that is causing fatigue, anxiety, or depression?

Good nutrition and digestion are necessary for optimum health.

It is estimated that 70% of people suffer from various digestive problems at some time in their lives. For this reason, over the counter remedies for acid reflux, heartburn, gas, constipation, and abdominal pain are leading sellers at the pharmacy. Often people will seek medical attention only when these solutions fail. Very commonly, the doctor will do some routine tests, and finding all “normal", will prescribe stronger versions of the same medicines or others to mask whatever symptoms the patient is complaining of.

We take a different approach. We want to know:

•  Do you have adequate stomach acid to digest dietary proteins?

•  Do you have enough pancreatic enzymes?

•  Are you infested with parasites, yeasts, or “bad” bacteria?

•  Do you have sufficient numbers of “good” bacteria?

•  Do you have “bad” bacteria in your intestines causing toxins to be reabsorbed into the body?

•  Do you have blood in your stool from a polyp or infection or cancer?

•  Are you absorbing nutrients as you should?

The CDSA test tells us about each of these factors and more.

By knowing where the digestive tract is not functioning properly, we can design a supplement and nutritional program to correct the problem.

This is the essential test in the evaluation of any patient. Many times “surprises” are found which the doctor never suspected. As an example, a 30-year-old healthy appearing female came into the office with fatigue. She had an excellent diet and exercise program, but was unable to build lean muscle. She was on a complete supplement program from a good nutritionist. What was interesting is that none of her symptoms pointed directly to her intestines. After all, she ate well, had no stomach pain, and had daily bowel movements.

But the rule is, all health begins in the gut . So with non-optimum health, always look to the digestive tract first.

So we did the CDSA. To our amazement, she had two parasites! Guess who was getting all the supplements and a lot of the protein? No wonder she was fatigued and couldn't build muscle.

All corrected when the parasites were taken care of, and the deficiencies (caused by the parasites) were replaced. That's good medicine: patient had a complaint, cause of complaint was discovered through correct diagnostic test (CDSA), exact treatment was given to cure the problem, patient healed.

I recommend this test highly, especially if you have any intestinal related symptoms (or as in this case, you don't). Depending on what is found, it may really improve your health. - D.I. Minkoff, MD
