You Mean I Could Be Brewing An Illness And Not Know It?
Usually, ill health is a path that one has been on, perhaps unknowingly, for many years. It is the accumulation of environmental toxins, poor food choices, and mental stressors that the body could no longer cope with which caused it to degenerate.
Then we see either gradual or sudden symptoms of illness.
Most people are surprised when the "event occurs". This is the wake up call that really scares one to seek change. Most frightfully this is a sudden heart attack or stroke or the finding of cancer.
For example, the facts are that for 35% of people with heart disease, it is silent until they succumb to a sudden fatal heart attack. Or the person with newly diagnosed cancer who says, "Gee, I was in the best of health until my doctor told me he felt a lump and told me I had cancer."
Balderdash!
Cancer and heart disease are not sudden unpredictable events. The preludes to ill heath symptoms have been there for many years, can almost always be discovered and dealt with before the catastrophic event occurs.
A good health program can go a long way to repair one's past of unhealthy living. Through proper nutrition and detoxification, the body can begin to rebuild its good health. To accompany this there must be education so that one can learn, maybe for the first time, how to take care of one's body so that it does give him trouble free service.
Ill health often begins to express itself through poor function in the nervous system. A group of these nerves, called the Autonomic Nervous System, is a web-like network of nerve pathways that control all of the body's vital functions. For example, when one walks outside into 90 degree heat, one's nervous system must make many changes so as to adapt the body to the increased temperature. One would begin to perspire, breathe faster, dilate blood vessels in the skin to lose heat, etc. If these changes did not occur quickly, one could quickly overheat.
If, however, one's nervous system is dulled by toxins, drugs, infections, or poor nutrition, it may not work properly. This could mean intolerance to heat, or even such problems as high blood pressure, or constipation. As well, any body organ that is under the influence of stored toxins, infection or malnutrition will not function well. Factually, aside from psychosomatic ills, nearly the whole array of medical illnesses can be explained by this model.
The doctor's goal in working with each patient must be to sort out the various toxicities and deficiencies that impair full function of his entire body. When this occurs, and proper natural treatments are given one will regain excellent energy and physical vitality to live life. One would be able to accomplish his duties without pain or fatigue.
This is the true goal of medicine: Optimum Health.
