12 oz. cassia chips
(american cinnamon bark)
6 oz fresh ginger, sliced thinly
2 oz whole cloves
2 oz cardamom seeds
¾ oz pepper corns |
combine in 2 qt pan and cook over med heat until thick and creamy - stirring often
mix with nuts in food processor, then press into bottom and sides of spring form cheesecake pan |
Remove from heat. Stir in lime juice and Stevia. Pour into nut pie crust and chill.
Stevia is a sweetner that does not adversely affect blood glucose levels and may be helpfull in maintaning proper pancreatic function. May help reduce hunger and cravings for sweets.
