Good Bacteria
Are you aware that there are nearly as many bacteria in your large intestine as there are cells in your entire body. Since
these bacteria live within us they actually represent the largest “organ” in our bodies. They are an active living tissue and produce needed vitamins and fatty acids and many other things that our bodies need. They prevent bad (harmful) bacteria, yeast and parasites from growing within us and probably prevent certain intestinal diseases like ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease and cancer from occurring.
The three most common healthy bacteria in our intestines are lactobacillus, acidophillis and e coli.
One can replenish the amount of good bacteria in the intestine by eating foods that contain these bacteria. Such foods as yogurt, sauerkraut and Miso are good sources of them. If someone is found to have low levels of these they can even supplement with extra doses of lactobacillus and acidophillis.
In patients with bowel problems like constipation, diarrhea, bloating, gas or symptoms of joint swelling, arthritis, rashes, eczema, allergies, it is a good idea to do a specialized test of the stool flora called a Complete Stool and Digestive Analysis. This can tell the doctor and patient what bacterial are growing there and if one needs to take extra as a supplement to balance things out. It also can tell
if the patient is suffering from parasites or yeast overgrowth.
This can be gotten from eating sushi or if you want a lesson in hygiene, next time you are in a restaurant where you can see the cooks working, notice how many times they touch their own body parts and other contaminated things and then directly touch your food. Also these things can be picked up from computer keyboards, telephones, toilets, and be transferred to our hands and then into our mouths.
One of the very best ways to ensure healthy intestinal function is to take BodyDetox before bedtime. This product is mixture of nutritional elements designed to support detoxification (of chemicals, pesticides and heavy metals) and improves the health of the intestinal cells and immune system.
As you may know, over 70% of the immune system is in the small intestine, so bowel health is critical to its function. I like to take Body Detox before bedtime along with my 2 tablets of BodyHealth Complete+ Detox. This with a glass of water provides the liver with the nutrients it needs during the 2-3 am time of maximum liver detoxification activity.
