Three Steps to Avoiding Pesticides and Herbicides Accumulating in your body and a fourth step to getting them out.
At least 60% of ones daily calorie intake should be from fruits and vegetables. Yet what about the pesticides and herbicides that may come along with them?
Pesticides are linked to the following diseases, and are most dangerous in children and pregnant women:
- Cancer
- Fertility problems
- Brain tumors
- Childhood leukemia
- Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma
- Birth defects
- Irritation to skin and eyes
- Hormone or endocrine system problems
- Nervous system damage
A recent study showed that routine produce contains residues of an average of five pesticides. They include:
- 10 known carcinogens
- 3 neurotoxins
- 3 reproductive or developmental toxins
- 8 suspected endocrine disrupters
- 2 contaminants classified as "Highly Hazardous" by the World Health Organization
The good news is to a large extent you can reduce/eliminate most of the pesticides that you are exposed to by doing the following:
Wash your fruits and vegetables. We use Fruit and Vegetable Wash from Earth Friendly Products.
Eat organic produce and animal products. Organic producers must “abstain from the application of prohibited materials (including synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and sewage sludge) for 3 years prior to certification and then continually throughout their organic license.” By avoiding the most-contaminated produce and eating the least contaminated, you can reduce your exposure to pesticides by almost 90 percent. ( Click here for a list of the 20 most contaminated and 20 least contaminated pesticides .)
Filter your water for bathing and drinking.
Does this make a difference? YES! When children are taken off normal produce and given organic produce, the levels of pesticides in their urines became undetectable within 8-36 hours.
"Once you switch from conventional food to organic, the pesticides (malathion and chlorpyrifos) that we can measure in the urine disappears. The level returns immediately when you go back to the conventional diets," said Chensheng Lu, the lead author of the study and a professor at Emory University 's School of Public Health .
4. Use BODY DETOX daily. Body Detox is a natural detoxification supplement that combats the ongoing environmental assaults from toxic metals, chemicals, and pesticides in the body.
Body Detox locks onto toxins in your body — toxins embedded in your blood, your cell membranes, and even those affecting the delicate inner cell structures — and pulls these toxins safely out through your bowels.
Body Detox also rejuvenates your intestinal tract, where these flushed toxins exit, and protects you from the damaging effects of toxin-generated free radicals.
Body Detox contains a proprietary blend of nanometer-sized natural oligopolysaccharides, glycoproteins, phospholipids, colloidal sea minerals, micro-cluster structured water, microactivated enzymes, microactivated mercury free chlorella, lipoic acid, NAC, glutathione, vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, fulvic acid, ferulic acid, and protease inhibitors with over 100 beneficial flora.
