Why your health could suffer if you take the purple pill or antacids on a chronic basis
When someone takes a medication that blocks the stomach from making acid, the body cannot digest protein. This is because the enzymes which do the digesting require an acid environment to be active. This acid measurement is called pH. The pH range from 1-6 isacid, 7 is neutral, and above seven to 14 is alkaline. The enzyme that begins protein digestion is called pepsin. Pepsin works best at an acid pH of 2. Prescription medication given for "acid stomach" or "heartburn" raises the pH in the stomach by stopping acid from being made. Without acid, the pH goes to neutral or alkaline. When the pH is above 4 pepsin does not work.

The TV is on!
Surveys of U.S. households show that in more than 50%, the TV is on "most of the time", according to a Kaiser Family Foundation study. And when not watching TV the children are glued to video games or surfing the internet.
Compare sitting for 8 hours a day in front of an electronic dumbing device to what children (and we) should be doing: playing outside in the fresh air and sunshine, running around, using their own imaginations for creating games with others, and reading. Prolonged TV viewing lowers IQ. Careful of what you do with your time. One of the meanings of the word "boob" is an ignorant or foolish person. The word "boob tube" was aptly named.

Hey Doc,
Just an update. With winter well behind us now I am happy to report that I am still on BioBuilde . I usually start my season off with a number of road races (i.e.: running) and generally don't expect much at all, however, in the last three races (two 5K's and a ten miler), I was rather astonished at my performance. These are the first races I usually run prior to my multisport events that come later in the summer. I won my age group in the two 5 K's and ran very strong in a ten miler 2 weeks ago (in the rain!!). My posted times were times I posted at the end of last season, meaning, I've lost very little over the winter, keeping in mind that I don't train at the competitive level during my off season. I am active all year round and injury prevention, and recovery between training sessions is key to my age-old performance! Yikes, my kid just celebrated her 20th birthday and I'm still winning my age group (((big smile))) - Julia
