What are America and Perhaps You, Eating?

For thousands of generations our ancestors had a very simple diet: wild fruits and vegetables, eggs, some roots, lean meats (including organs and marrow), nuts, and fish. Millions of years of eating these foods caused our genes to evolve in a certain way. Today, we have our dietary habits causing disease because our genes are altered by foods that they are not used to and because the nutritional quality is so low.

The USDA reports that the top nine foods eaten by Americans are:

  • Whole cows milk
  • 2 percent milk
  • Processed American cheese
  • White bread
  • White flour
  • White rolls
  • Refined sugar
  • Colas
  • Ground beef

Why are people sick? Elementary my dear, compare the two lists.

How do people get well, lose weight, restore health?

Start with eating as our Paleolithic ancestors and as noted above.

Dairy and the grain protein, gluten account for food allergy in many many people. Reactions to them also underlie many autoimmune diseases, digestive problems, hormone problems, and neurologic and psychiatric disorders.
