What do dirt, lipstick and toys have in common?
They can all give you lead poisoning. There are millions of children (and lipstick wearing mothers) with lead toxicity. Young children, crawling in dirt, putting objects in their mouths, breathing in blowing dust with lead contaminants imbibe a significant amount as they grow up. To the body, lead looks like calcium and the body tries to use lead in place of calcium, especially if there is a calcium deficiency. The increasing level of lead, leads to lowered IQ, ADD, hypertension, anemia, kidney disease, cancer and Alzheimer’s.
What should you do? 1. Get a lead blood level done on everyone in the family. 2. If high, see Lifeworks Wellness Center for an evaluation.
